Elise and I had been planning a long weekend away, but given my current circumstances decided to have a 3 night R&R in the hood since I couldn't travel far. We headed to the most beautiful Airbnb in Bangalow. Beautiful home, gorgeous outlook. About 30mins from home. There’s something to be said for a good staycation!!

By now I'm high as a kite on my nebulisers and everything is same same with my health.... but I’m managing a bit better.... I do have a good bout of roid rage and constant hunger though so we had to keep me fed... e.g. big breakfast in photos haha

Saturday arvo I had a pretty random 'asthma attack'... which Elise suggested was strange since I'd only done my nebuliser maybe half hour earlier. Seemed things were getting worse, not better....

That night I decided to double my daily CF antibiotic (Azithromycin) as it is an anti inflammatory. I couldn't do anymore meds on the asthma front. And this instinctively felt like the best step. I’m allowed to do that for 3 days as part of my PID management plan… so why not give this a whirl.

What was incredible was the next day my neck released!!

Maybe it was the setting, the company, the changed atmosphere.... or maybe the additional anti inflammatory (on top of the nebulizer steroids) was the turning point.

Maybe the 'asthma attack' was actually an SPS attack as it does attack your lungs and feels like asthma (apparently!). Definitely something to consider if my asthma meds aren't working.

We returned home with me having some very overdue relief... it had been a full month with the neck seized and no sleep! Interestingly though, my neck still hurt bad. Like it had a small fracture. And of course still no bloody sleep!!

Thankfully I was scheduled for an MRI tomorrow to see what was going on.
