A sliding doors moment, take two.

Just before Christmas 2022 an article on Celine Dion came across my socials about her postpoining her tour due to being unwell. I ignored it... not really a fan of her music... I mean I think she's super talented... but she's not in my playlist...but I did smile as it reminded me of my days living in Vietnam. The radio only played Vietnamese musc OR Celine!! And karaoke is huge over there... and she is on repeat!!

So, when I see another article, Friday night, around 730pm and this time she's cancelled her tour, I had the same thought and kept scrolling. A moment later I thought "I wonder what is happening to poor old Celine.... maybe she could be helpful for my new CI Hope business when I get it off the ground". I scroll back and read the article.

She is suffering from Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS)... originally called Stiff Man Syndrome until they realised it impacts mostly women!! I read her symptoms, they aligned 100%. I googled it, the symptoms aligned 100%... not 80%, 100%. I then googled it with my primary immunodeficiency (My PID is known as CVID) and a couple of scholarly articles came up.

I nearly rolled off the couch.

At 739pm I emailed the scholarly article to Dr Reece and told him about Celine! I said, I think I've got this SPS. He came back to me 29mins later and said "WOW, lets get you tested".

It effects 1 in 1-2m people, and testing isn't easy. So it was going to take him some time to work out where to start. But maybe, just maybe, we can do something to get this current episode clamping my neck in tight ... released as nothing was helping.

Uncanny/spooky/contemplative note - I find it rather surreal that I saw the rainbow in the photos below at 3:37pm this day. Whilst sitting out the front on my balcony. It was the most magical thing. I had wished at this point my neck problems, well all my health problems could be wished away by a rainbow.
