Ruling out Endo/Adeno + Physio + Kid Comfort + World Cup

In desparate need of physio from my good mate Paul, I came to Bris and decided to stay and kill a few birds...

My neck was still in agony, the new physio down in Caba couldn't get any progress, and I was awaiting another new guy (Justin) recommended by Yolane (my rehab champion!) to return from overseas... so decided to head to Brisbane to see my good friend Paul at BL Physio.

Whilst there I could also:

- Spend some time with Hans and the kids (one of my homes away from home!) whilst Carl was away working on the world cup.
- Try get some hardcore sleep (I seem to have super power sleeping capability there!).
- Pick up my CF meds at the Mater.
- Watch the Matildas on Saturday with Ang & Paul.
- See my gyno in person rather than telehealth as I'd been having a lot of pain.
- Watch the Matildas with Hans & the kids if they got through Saturday!

Some highs and lows as usual!!

I was so exhausted from the last 2 weeks of no sleep. But William and Alex kept me company on the couch!! I dozed through a chunk of bugs life before realising I'd put it on in Cantonese with english subtitles. The kids hadn't noticed hahaha

Paul did his best over more than an hour to get my neck released. I did feel better for a couple days before it seized back up.

Had an epic night on the Saturday with the Ang & Paul watching the Matilda's get up. One of those memories that will go down in history! And yet another Apple Watch health and safety alert triggered in their presence.

Saw Dr Thea Bowler in real life out at the beautiful Vera Womens Wellness in Samford Valley. It's like a retreat out there!! We went over all my gyno issues again. She did an ultrasound. No reasons for my pain. She looked into the SPS idea Dr Reece and I had and she said it would make complete sense. The spasms would be putting so much pressure on my ovaries and uterus it would feel like cysts and cramping.

I have been seeing Thea as a third opinion to my issues (referred to her by Dr Lucy Burr my CF doctor) ... Thea agrees I suffer from endo and adeno but believes my prior surgeries have them at bay. She remains unconvinced a hysterectomy would give me the relief I'm looking for and believes I have something else causing these symptoms. We agreed to reconvene if the SPS came back negative and she gave me a slip for scans to have in the midst of a major flare up to get real time feedback.... which she suspected would be negative to anything gynacological. My gut instincts were agreeing with Thea... there's something else.

Hans, the kids and I pj'd up for the big game. It was a shame the Matilda's lost but such a wonderful experience to have witnessed their journey. What an incredible statement for women's sport, a defining moment in history, and the knock one effect to so many kids wanting to get outside and play sport.

I left Brisbane back to Caba still tired and in pain but my heart and soul were full for these experiences.

[Hans, Carl, Ang & Paul - somehow I never end up with photos of us adults.... just the kids or safety alerts!!!! haha]
